Welcome to the Art Box Gallery Blog

Welcome to our new blog for Art Box!  It's been over 6 months now since Christchurch mayor Bob Parker officially opened the gallery and our stable of local artists has grown to over 20.  Many art lovers have visited in that time and the comments have been really encouraging. It seems that our visitors from Christchurch and overseas are enjoying the great selection of original works and the friendly atmosphere and enjoy the fact that there is a working studio incorporated into the gallery.  We have over 80 modern, original artworks (at this stage mostly paintings) and there is a vast selection from abstract to surrealist to realistic to choose from.  We have sold lots of lovely paintings to  clients who are coming back for more and bringing in their friends too.  If you haven't visited us yet we are just off Main North road and near Northlands mall in Loftus Street, Papanui. We have our own parking under the gallery so no need to stress about where to park. We are open from 11am Tuesdays to Saturdays and all our details are on the About Art Box page.  There aren't many place to view and buy art so hope to see you soon!
