Since opening Art Box Gallery® in 2011 we have had many visitors to our modern building which is situated in Christchurch, New Zealand. Of course it is not always possible for art lovers to actually come through the door to see us. So our website, along with Facebook and Instagram, are helpful ways for Art Box Gallery® to communicate with the arts community from further afield. Increasingly we are receiving enquiries from outside of our home city, both from New Zealand and overseas. Therefore, we are looking to improve our facilities for those who want to buy art - from a distance.
Integrity & customer service have always been very important to us at Art Box Gallery®. We always look 'to go the extra mile' and that extends to enquiries from outside of Christchurch. As the viewing and purchase of art 'online' develops we are committed to doing our best to help. If there is something on the website that you would like to discuss we would be delighted to hear from you. We have sent paintings to Australia, The United States, The United Kingdom, Thailand and elsewhere.
To assist buyers from outside of Christchurch we have introduced artboxgalleryonline.com which facilitates secure payment and the opportunity for bespoke online art services. You can use this online shop if you can't get to our gallery in Loftus Street, Papanui, NZ, but have seen a painting you would like here on our main website. If an artwork is not currently available via the online store we can easily arrange this for you. We are only an email away at [email protected] and we always try to respond to enquiries quickly. We still have an old-fashioned landline telephone at the gallery so you can call us during opening times to speak to a real person on (03) 352 8940 (or 0064 3 352 8940 for international enquiries).
In terms of transporting paintings overseas we have a good working relationship with Pack & Send who also provide consignment insurance. The highly regarded Papanui Branch of Pack & Send is just metres from our physical gallery. Buying art online is definitely becoming more popular and it does not need to be a worry. Our model encourages you to correspond and speak to us prior to committing to any art purchase. This allows prospective buyers to discuss the artwork in detail. Central to Art Box Gallery since we started in 2011 has been a commitment to personal service and this extends to art lovers wherever in the world they may live.
