Art Box Gallery was delighted to feature in the main section of The Press newspaper on Waitangi Day and subsequently on www.stuff.co.nz It described the story of our set up following the February 2011 earthquakes and the growth in number of local artists who we have particularly chosen in order to promote creativity in and around our city.
Thanks to Sam Sachdeva who wrote the article and Ian McGregor who took the photographs, we reached many new art lovers, had over 600 people visit the website and a number of encouraging sales. We were able to inform Cantabrians and tourists alike about our wonderful art space - a venue to enjoy and purchase paintings whilst supporting talented local artists.
Art Box Gallery receives no public funding and is an entirely private initiative based on a commitment to helping the arts & creativity in Canterbury.
