 July 12th -14th was spent at the Nelson Art Expo which is an annual exhibition of artists from all over New Zealand. It was a well organized event at the Trafalgar Centre in Nelson with awards, evening events and free seminars for artists and dealers. It is the South Island's premier Art Expo with over 120 artists specializing in paintings, sculpture, glass and jewellery. With all the other galleries and restaurants in the region it was an enjoyable way to spend a weekend.

 Art Box Gallery has recently supplied art works for a brand new dental surgery in Fendalton Village. John and Kristin Morton, who were displaced from their city space have relocated to this smart new purpose built practice at 294 Clyde Road. Art Box has provided a number of artworks, some of which are available to purchase, to enhance the relaxing atmosphere. Wednesday 3rd July was an evening of networking with women from all areas of business at the "after five" function held at Art Box Gallery. The Christchurch central Venus Group met up with the Rangiora group and guests were also invited along. Emma Henry from Henry Construction, Carol Hannagan from Strategy Law and Beverley Frost from Art Box Gallery spoke about their businesses. Debra Batt from Food Delicious catered for the evening. Thanks to all those who attended - it's amazing the diversity of businesses and the inspirational stories.
