From time to time we get asked how a painting might look like in a room. We are pleased to show you that this is now possible with the help of an app and so we hope you find this useful to imagine the art on a wall. Here's 'McKenzie Gold' by Christine Maynard on a bedroom wall space but we could easily place it in a lounge - the wonder of technology!

Here's our most recent feedback from a client in Queenstown who purchased 'Hurunui' and oil on canvas by Galina Kim: Hi Bev, The painting arrived today. It’s really lovely. You did a terrific job with the packaging. Thanks for the card, and the bio on Galina Kim. I’m thrilled with the great service that you provided, and would definitely purchase another artwork from your little gallery. We love happy customers!! We look forward to hearing from you soon. At Art Box Gallery we like to have fresh works for our regular clients so we recently headed in the central South Island on an art collecting mission. Its always wonderful to catch up with our talented artists, see what they are creating and choose new work for our gallery in Christchurch. Here's a tempting selection of work that we crammed into the car just for you!

All you have to do is purchase a print or original artwork over $50 between these two dates and you will go into the draw to win! Good luck and we look forward to giving these two lovely small originals as gifts as a thank you's to our Christmas buyers.
It's taken a number of years but the city of Christchurch is starting to revive after the huge earthquakes that rocked the city over 8 years ago. Although there is a long way to go there are some very cool new buildings and areas to explore. The most recent is the lovely new library and slowly the Arts Centre which always attracted many visitors both local and international, is taking shape. This great painting by Christine King depicting the Arts Centre as it was is where we hope to get back to in the not too distant future.
Art Box Gallery is pleased to welcome Galina Kim to their list of talented New Zealand artists. Galina has an impressive history as an artist and tutor. Her work is exquisite and she is able to create landscapes, still life, flowers and iconic art with her own unique style. She originated from the Ukraine with a double Masters degree in Fine art and Design (Honours) and has since settled in New Zealand where she now finds the inspiration for her paintings. Galina has won numerous awards for her creations and we would be happy to furnish you with a list of these. Welcome to Art Box Galina, we are delighted to have you on board.

Art Box Gallery has been delighted to assist Dr David Kieser ( Orthopaedic Surgeon Christchurch) this week in the provision of the art for his medical rooms at Southern Cross Hospital. Located on the second floor 'Specialists at Nine' these extensive rooms have now been completed and are looking very impressive. A blank canvas hit us on the initial visit and a serious injection of colour and contemporary artwork was required! Following this visit Art Box came up with a draft plan of colours and ideas for each room, ideas for interiors and we also considered budget and use of space. After further discussion we visited with an array of art to choose from and finally this week we returned to hang the work. We are passionate about making spaces feel great and our affordable pricing and huge choice has given a much needed lift to the rooms. Why hire art? Money spent with nothing at the end to show for the expense and regular visits to change artworks that are never a perfect fit. Art Box is an affordable option and if we can't find the right piece we'll paint it for you!
www.davidkieser.co.nz It's lovely to hear how happy and satisfied our customers are with our service.
OMG!!!! I would love to see how you wrap your Christmas presents!!!! Very impressive indeed And oh WW...My Abracadabra is truly beautiful! It’s dreamy, floaty and calming and I just LOVE it!!! Thank you SO much My house hunting now officially has a new requirement...as many walls as possible Thank you Bev, the thoughtful card, our lovely, easy communication, you just make collecting beautiful pieces so much fun and I love how passionate you are about Art Thalita Alves commenting at London based Culture Trip: "Since the 2011 earthquake, Christchurch has experienced an artistic transformation. No longer are its galleries confined to High Street – new contemporary venues have been spreading their scope further afield. The diversity of the newest exhibition spaces to make their way into this New Zealand city is highly commendable, and is markedly evident in these 12 must-visit art galleries".
At Art Box we are always keen to hear about where people first heard about our gallery. Often it is through personal recommendation or via our website. Recently though a couple came in who had read about Christchurch art galleries in an article posted at Culture Trip. It's great to see Art Box described as a "must-visit art gallery" at this rapidly growing cultural forum. Since starting in 2011 we have been committed to making our 'little gallery with a lot of art' really stand out in terms of being a relaxed and friendly place where customers and visitors get a very special service. Do come and visit us at Art Box. |
