Pamela Crowther
Pamela was born in invercargill and tutored art at community colleges and high schools in the Southland area. She is an artist member of the Eastern Southland Gallery. Drama and colour are important to her paintings and this has influenced many of her portraits, cit and landscapes. She has exhibited throughout Southland and Otago in oils, mixed media, pastels, pen and ink and lately acrylics. She is a guide at the Christchurch Art Gallery and has enjoyed discussions of many of their works with the public. During holiday art schools, she has experienced the works and instructions of artists such as John Coley, John Parker, Doris Lusk, Toss Woolaston and others.
