Jody Hope Gibbons
Born in 1966, Jody paints full-time in her Matakana studio and has works held in private collections here and throughout the world. Her work pushes the boundaries of traditional painting practice and techniques, from her bright abstracts to her painterly, ethereal, landscape series. A separate body of her current work also explores her interest in recycling found materials and discovering the beauty in these objects and presenting them in a new light. She is an established New Zealand artist and exhibits her work in galleries around the North and South Islands.
